诺和诺德公司副总裁戴瑞博博士在复旦大学与中国科学院上海药物研究所战略合作协议签字仪式上的发言

It is an honour for me to join this ground breaking ceremony as the representative of Novo Nordisk, a biopharmaceutical company and a world leader in diabetes care, headquartered in Denmark.
我很荣幸代表总部设在丹麦、从事生物制药和作为糖尿病治疗全球领袖的诺和诺德公司来参加这个隆重的签约仪式。
Novo Nordisk has been selling its products in China for more than 50 years. About 20 years ago, we established our own production and research facilities in China as the first international pharmaceutical company.
诺和诺德公司在中国销售产品已经超过50年。大约20年前，我们作为第一个国际制药公司在中国建立了自己的生产和研究设施。
During all these years, we considered ourselves partners of Chinese society with an obligation to support China’s competence and capacity building in the field of drug discovery and development as well as in diabetes care in both the wealthy urban areas and in the poor rural ones.
在这些年里，我们把自己看成是中国社会的伙伴，尽义务支持中国建立药物发现与开发的能力与实力，并在富裕的城市和贫困的农村地区开展糖尿病护理。
I am myself a scientist, who, many years ago (in 1981), started working in a team at Novo Nordisk to develop genetically engineered insulin. I am proud to say that Novo Nordisk today is the world’s largest producer of insulin – and has a market share of approximately 60% in China.
作为一个科学家，我在多年前（1981年）就开始在诺和诺德公司中一个研发团队内开展基因工程胰岛素的研发。我很自豪地说，诺和诺德公司如今是全球最大的胰岛素生产商，占有约60%的中国市场份额。
For 20 years, I have been visiting China. One of my tasks was and is to facilitate academic co-operations between Chinese and Novo Nordisk scientists. The accomplishment that I am most proud of in that regard is the Novo Nordisk–CAS Research Fund that was established in 2007 with Professor Zhu Chen, then Vice President of CAS and later Minister of Health, as chairman. Many CAS Institutes, including SIMM, has since benefitted from this Fund.
二十年来，我一直在访问中国。我的任务之一就是促进中国和诺和诺德科学家之间的学术合作。我最自豪的成就是创立于2007年、由时任中国科学院副院长的陈竺教授（后任卫生部部长）担任理事长的诺和诺德–中国科学院研究基金。许多中国科学院的研究所，包括上海药物研究所，都由此受益于该基金。
Most recently, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fudan University to explore how we together can strengthen education of professionals in regulatory science as well as capacity building in drug development and evaluation.
最近，我们与复旦大学签署了一项谅解备忘录，旨在探索如何共同加强药事监管科学专业人员的教育和提升药物开发和评价的能力。
Our contribution will be to draw on our long experiences within these fields including close interactions with American, European and Japanese regulators. Additionally, we intend to make a substantial financial donation to the activities of a new “Center of Excellence for Regulatory Science Innovation” that Fudan University wishes to establish.
我们将贡献我们在这些领域里的长期经验，包括与美国、欧洲和日本药事监管机构的密切联系。此外，我们愿意提供可观的捐款来资助复旦大学希望兴建的 “药事监管科学创新卓越中心”的活动。
This is a natural extension of how Novo Nordisk for some years has worked closely with CFDA/CDE to support regulatory science in China. Examples are a workshop on biosimilars that included the CDE authors of Biosimilar Guidelines and a meeting on the Marketing Authorisation Holder System in China in which we shared our EU and US experiences with Chinese regulators.
这是多年来诺和诺德与国家食品药品管理总局和国家药品审评中心在支持中国药事监管科学发展方面进行密切合作的自然延伸。实例包括举办由国家药品审评中心生物仿制药指南作者参加的生物仿制药论坛和在中国上市许可持有人制度研讨会上与中国药事监管人员分享我们在欧盟和美国的经验。
Later this afternoon, we will discuss with Fudan University how we, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, can support Fudan’s intentions to establish and expand a leading center for regulatory science and education in China.
今天傍晚，我们将在谅解备忘录的框架内与复旦大学探讨怎样更好地支持复旦建立和拓展在中国发挥引领作用的药事监管科学和教育中心。
We believe that this great initiative will help make new safe and innovative medicines available to the Chinese people and support China’s intention to establish a dynamic and efficient ecosystem for the discovery, development and approval of new medicines that make a difference to Chinese patients.
我们相信，这一重大的举措将有助于为中国人民提供新的安全和创新药品，并支持中国试图建立的一个充满活力和高效的新药发现、开发和审批生态系统，以便更好地为中国患者服务。
