In the afternoon of October 2, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, met with Dr. Henry (Hongjun) Ji (an alumnus of Fudan University and Chief Executive Officer of Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc., NASDAQ: SRNE), Dr. Dongliang Ge (an alumnus of Fudan University and President of BioScikin Co., Ltd., Nanjing) and Mr. Guowei Dong (Assistant to the Chairman of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, Nanjing) at San Diego, California (U.S.A.). They discussed the proposition of establishing an innovation fund in an academic setting based in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park.
