2016年10月5日上午，由院长王明伟研究员、院长助理李嫣副教授和临床药学与药事管理教研室副主任相小强副研究员组成的87978797威尼斯老品牌代表团与美国北卡大学教堂山分校（The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UNC）药学院院长Robert A. Blouin教授和分管全球合作事务的副院长Stephen F. Eckel副教授进行了正式会谈。双方确定在药学专业教育、药师职业培训、新药发现研究、学术资源共享、师生交流互访和国际责任履行等方面建立全面的合作伙伴关系并签署谅解备忘录。两位院长表示将委派专人强化对接落实，设立中长期目标任务，共同开创互惠双赢的发展局面。
北卡大学教堂山分校药学院的教育资源、学术影响和科研实力享誉全球，在最新公布的TFE Times《2017年最佳药学教育排名榜》（2017 Best Pharmacy Program Rankings）上继续位居全美之首。该院与复旦药学院在药物制剂领域已经开展长期合作，人员交流不断，研究成果频出。这次强强“联姻”将把双边关系推向一个新的高度。
王明伟院长对复旦药学院代表团在访问教堂山期间所受到的热情款待表示衷心感谢，并期待着今年12月中旬在上海接待由Robert A. Blouin院长率领的北卡大学药学院代表团之回访。
Fudan School of Pharmacy and UNC School of Pharmacy form a comprehensive collaborative partnership
In the morning of October 5, 2016, the delegation of Fudan School of Pharmacy, consisting of Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Dean), Associate Professor Yan Li (Assistant Dean) and Associate Professor Xiaoqiang Xiang (Vice Chairman, Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Regulatory Affairs), held a formal discussion, at Eshelman School of Pharmacy, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), with Professor Robert A. Blouin (Dean) and Associate Professor Stephen F. Eckel (Associate Dean for Global Engagement). Both parties decided to form a comprehensive collaborative partnership covering areas such as pharmacy education, professional training, drug discovery, resource sharing, personnel exchange and international responsibility. A Memorandum of Understanding was executed to reflect this decision as a result. The two deans emphasized the importance of implementation by specially assigned staff as well as set-up of mid- to long-term goals and tasks aiming at capturing new development opportunities through creation of this “win-win” and mutually beneficial cooperation.
UNC School of Pharmacy enjoys world premier reputation via its unparallel education resources, academic impact and research capabilities. It remains American No. 1 in the newly released“2017 Best Pharmacy Program Rankings”- Top Pharmacy Schools. It also has an existing collaboration with Fudan School of Pharmacy in studies of drug formulations where frequent mutual visits and promising research outcomes have become routine. This new arrangement between these two strong partners will lift the current bilateral relationship to a higher level.
Professor Ming-Wei Wang expressed his sincere gratitude to the warm hospitality extended to the Fudan delegation while visiting Chapel Hill, and looks forward to receiving the return visit to Shanghai by UNC delegation led by Professor Robert A. Blouin in mid-December this year.
